Vulture’s origins in the Spider-Man comics

Vulture on screen: a villain reinvented in the MCU
The Vulture spent a long time as a second-tier villain in the comics, but his move to the big screen changed everything. It was in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) that the character got his first live-action adaptation, played superbly by Michael Keaton. The Vulture is not just a criminal with wings. He embodies several powerful themes that make him unique in Spider-Man’s rogues’ gallery, starting with the fact that he is so often the mirror image of Peter Parker: where Peter stands for youth, hope and responsibility, Toomes stands for age, disillusionment and social anger.
He is one of the rare villains to come from the American working class. A rejected contractor, a working man turned outlaw, he takes on the great figures of power such as Tony Stark and institutions such as Damage Control. That social dimension gives him a complexity rarely explored among the web-slinger’s enemies.

The brief appearance of the Vulture (Michael Keaton) in the post-credits scene of Morbius raised plenty of questions. How did he cross from the MCU into the SSU (Sony’s Spider-Man Universe)? The answer is deliberately left vague, but it confirms one thing: the character has not said his last word.
Several theories point to a key future role for Toomes in the Sinister Six, the supervillain team that could finally reach the screen in a 100% Sony production.
