The short answer

This is the fourth volume of the main series, written by Dan Slott and drawn by Mark Bagley, and it leads straight into the End of the Spider-Verse crossover. Morlun and the Inheritors hunt the Spider-Totems down while Peter questions his own place. Our breakdown of the arc is below.

In 2022, Marvel surprised everyone by handing Dan Slott - one of the architects of the Spider-Verse - a brand-new series simply titled Spider-Man. Launched under the Vol. 4 banner, the series is a genuinely cosmic, dimension-hopping relaunch for the wall-crawler, told across an explosive ten-issue run that blends action, legacy and colossal multiversal stakes.

This volume follows on directly from the world of the Spider-Verse, with a story that explores new versions of Spider-Man and throws the web-slinger into all-out war against a threat more insidious than ever. Slott's aim is clear: to build a bridge between the past (earlier versions of the multiverse), the present (Peter Parker in the middle of an identity crisis) and an uncertain future in which every Spider-hero could be the key... or the problem.

The series also lays the groundwork for the End of the Spider-Verse crossover, a landmark event that puts the fate of every incarnation of the hero on the line. From Spider-Man Noir to Spider-Gwen, by way of Miles Morales and Silk, each of them plays a part in this epic tapestry that redefines Peter's role at the heart of the Web.

But none of it would work without a sharp sense of pace and storytelling. Slott's nervy, generous style is all over these pages, mixing humour, tragedy and pure adrenaline. All of it carried by the striking artwork of Mark Bagley, one of the most iconic artists in the Spider-Man universe.

A Spider-Verse revival... but at what cost?

From the very first issues, Dan Slott shatters any sense of stability: the multiverse is sick, corrupted by a new and terrifying entity whose ripples reach every version of the web-slinger. The series quickly becomes a vast playground for bringing back much-loved heroes such as Spider-Man Noir, Peni Parker, and Spider-Punk, and also for exploring lesser-known figures such as Sun-Spider and Spider-UK.

The heart of the story rests on an unsettling truth: what if the multiverse never needed Peter Parker at all? That question, central to the plot, pushes Peter into a deep interrogation of his place in a universe where he is no longer necessarily 'the' Spider-Man. You will find the same reflection on lost identity already sketched out in the Chasm arc, which showed Ben Reilly sinking into doubt and darkness.

The story piles on references to other major events such as Spider-Island or The Clone Conspiracy, while injecting a steady dose of mystery and tension. With every issue the universe tightens, the losses mount, and the stakes become clear: stop the Spider-Verse from ending.

This theme of a hero's fractured identity finds a strong visual echo in the Spider-Man masks in our collection: every mask is a symbol of unity, but also of solitude and duality. A single face for hundreds of stories.

Morlun returns... and nobody is safe

One of the most chilling returns in this series is that of Morlun, the vampiric predator of the multiverse. In this new arc he becomes a central threat once again, but this time he is not alone. Joined by other heirs of the multiverse, he hunts the Spider-Totems down to devour them one by one. The tension peaks when even the most powerful versions such as Spider-Gwen and Miles Morales are in immediate danger.

The fresh carnage orchestrated by Morlun points straight back to the events of the Spider-Verse arc, but at a far higher pitch of intensity. Dan Slott turns the plot into a cosmic manhunt in which every decision counts and every bond between the Spider-Men becomes crucial. And Peter, for all his doubts, has to embody hope once again in the face of collapse.

What makes the threat land even harder is the way it looks on the page: every appearance of Morlun creates an almost mythological dread. He is the ending, he is fate, and it is in that context that the union of the Spider-heroes becomes essential.

That need for unity and for passing the torch comes through even in our Spider-Man figures, which let you bring together the different incarnations of the wall-crawler. From Peter Parker to Spider-Man 2099, they offer a complete gallery of the heroes who make up this now-endangered multiverse.

A modern reinvention, between classicism and daring

What strikes you about this fourth volume is the boldness with which Marvel revisits its fundamentals while injecting fresh energy. Peter Parker appears more vulnerable, more human than ever. His relationship with Norman Osborn - his greatest enemy turned ambiguous ally - is a reminder of how inseparable the past is from his identity. It is a theme already explored in arcs such as Sins Past, but here it takes on a new dimension.

That duality between the old and the new also shows up in the settings, the technology and even the moral stakes. The series does not hesitate to summon the Spider-Verse, folding in popular figures such as Miles Morales or Spider-Man 2099, while reinforcing Peter's importance as the central pivot of this teeming universe. His story remains the beating heart, the one on which the fragile balance of the multiversal spider rests.

That narrative tension between nostalgia and novelty carries through even into our merchandise, which showcases the classic versions of Spider-Man just as much as the modern takes. Every product becomes a bridge between generations of fans, like the Spider-Man pyjamas that keep the legacy of a still-living myth alive for the youngest fans.

When the urge to cosplay meets the need for an everyday jumper. The perfect compromise for wearing your passion without overdoing it.

For going from fan-spectator to fan-collector, with no awkward in-between.
